Crafting with Katie

Hey Everyone,

Here is another Website Wednesday .... this blog is awesome, its called Crafting with Katie
and she does amazing, amazing cards and projects.
I love her blog because its very easy to get around on, I found myself hanging out on her blog for a few hours the other day because I just kept looking at one project after another.
She also has a ton of talent! She used her Gypys to mimic a type of cut you can do with the one of the Cartridges that will only be a on the E2 ... The card was amazing. I'm sure it must have taken her FOREVER!
I hope you stop by her blog and enjoy all her work!

A little less posting....

Hi Everyone,

This is sort of an update.... I'm going to be take a little time off from blog. This week and next.

As those of you know who have been following my blog my life has been going through alot of changes in recent days.....
Back in March we moved from our house in California over by the coast so we could relocate back to my home town.
We did this for many reasons that are not worth going into, however some of the reasons were not happy reasons and the change came very quickly.

We were lucky that my husband was able to transfer job. That however was the only thing that has been easy about this.
The house we were planning on moving into didn't work out at the last minute and so my girls and I moved in with some family in Nevada and my husband stayed in California to work.

We also found out the week we moved that I was 8 weeks pregnant. This was a very big surprise to us!

All of these things combined has made this a very difficult time for our whole family. I don't have alot of space to do anything normal!
I also have not had the help of my wonderful husband!

I'm now just about 5 months pregnant and growing my more tired with each passing day... pregnancy is not my favorite thing!
And with the weather being so crazy (It snowed here yesterday... the middle of May and it snowed!!!!!!!) and having 2 children under 4 that are going stir crazy it is starting to become very hard on me.

I love doing this blog and I would never want to stop doing, it just alot of work and I need to take a few weeks and breath!
I have some projects ready to post and will still be around, but I won't be posting new projects that I've working until the first part of June.
Thank you everyone for your wonderful support! Its wonderful to have friends out there in the craft world!

Calendar Pages....

Morning Everyone,

Well I don't have an October Calender page for you today.... You see I'm pregnant and I will be doing in October, so my October Calendar page will be a "New Arival" page and I haven't found out what I'm having yet!
Now I have a feeling I will be having a boy, and I could always just try and do something really in between but I've decided since I'm so far ahead that I will just go ahead and wait until I find out and then I can go back and so something that I will really love.

So far these Calendars have been the best I've done (I've done Calendars for 2 years now) and I don't want to do something that I will end up being unhappy with.

I thought for today I would share some Calendar information for anyone who is getting interested in doing their calendar!

This is a Karen Foster Calender Kit and you can find it here : Amazon.com the Calendar itself is like 6.99 and then you would pay Shipping & Handling.

And I've seen also in Michaels that DCWV has and awesome kit that is 8 1/2 x 11 (That is the Calendar size that Wendy is doing) and it looks like this:

This would be super easy to do.... it comes with everything you need!

Those are a few of things that I've come across in recent days for Calendar projects! I hope that someone might get inspired to try one of these and let me know how they have turned out.

I ordered photos...

Hey Everyone,

Okay so I have to admit something.... since I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago I have not been behind on anything!

I have a family scrapbook that starts in Jan and ends in Dec each year and then for my children I do a first year scrapbook that is The month they are born ends the month before their first birthday.

This year because of all that is going on in our life I got way behind.
Our family scrapbook for 2010 is not even close to being finished and I've been trying to get violets first year album done (with not too much progress happening on that end)

So I finally decided to upload my photos from the beginning of the year (January) and I had 371 of them!
I use Snapfish ! I upload them and have them sent to me. I always find a free shipping code to plug in my just doing a google search for "Free shipping for Snapfish.com" this month the code is: SHIPIT20 it is good until May 23rd and I saved $17.21 on my order.

I always get my pictures printed in a mat finish and most of the time I get a white thin board on them.

I'm looking forward to getting these photos and maybe I will start on this year albums and just behind on last year!

***Note*** I can't believe how fast I got these pictures back.... I'm so excited to start getting them orgainized and I'm evening starting to think about this year Family Album! How exciting!

Hugs!

September Calendar Page

Hey Everyone,

Well this Calendar Series has almost come to an end! I'm a little sad but I'm so excited that my Calendars are done so early this year! It feel wonderful to have them finished 6 months before its time to give them as gifts.

I have to say that I have some finishing work to do on them. I need to go back and add all the dates to them, and then I have few pages that need titles and small stuff done to them. But that will be easy to do and won't take long.

Here is September and I really love doing fall ANYTHING. Its my favorite time of the year so its not hard for me to get inspired for these pages!

 Episode 91

I still have not got the title part of the page finished, so I haven't taken any pictures.... sorry guys.

Have a great week!

Two Chics and a Cricut has a new bestie....

Happy Monday Everyone,

I'm really excited about Two chics and a Cricuts new bestie..... AKA ... my first sponsor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First thank you to everyone who comes by the blog and hangs out with me! I love doing the blog and sharing my projects with you guys!

Second I know that there has been some changes that have taken place in the recent months with the blog and you might have noticed that Wendy hasn't had much of an active part as before.

This is only because she has been busy building up her Stampin' Up business. She has been working hard getting to know all she can about Stampin Up and really putting her time and effort into that. I'm so proud of her for sticking with this even through the holidays.  You know the time of year when NO ONE has any money .....

The great thing is she is at a point now where she has decided to sponsor Two Chics and a Cricut! Isn’t that exciting???

This means you will be seeing more of Wendy again and more of her projects! You will be hearing about Stampin’ Up products often.
Wendy and I both love Stampin’ Up as much as we love our Cricuts! (Its like they are best friends) and we want to share with everyone how great these two products can be together!

Each Friday I will be posting a super fun and simple Stampin' Up project, it might be a card, or a scrapbooking page! You are going to find that Stampin' Up is about more than just stamps!

**You can get in on the action too.... We have a Stampin Up club online.  All you have to do is email Wendy for the details wendy.cranford@live.com***

I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm going to!

NSBD - Challenge #12

Challenge #12 - A Children/Kid Layout or project
I was planning on doing some any of the others ones because they seemed like they were all so much fun, but I just didn't have the time. So this it for me!

I did the layout of my daughter getting her first American Girl Doll and I just need to journal the page, I can't journal under pressure, its already hard enough to journal, I can't add the element of presure to it.

I hope you guys enjoyed all my project thats that I did. I was glad to be able to have a small part of NSBD!

NSBD Challenge #10

Challenge # 10 - A pet layout or card!
I almost didn't do this challnge because I didn't think I was up for it, but turns out it was alot of fun. I loved the way it turned out. Super cute.
I also loved that I got to go through my paper and use some of it that I've had for awhile.

Also this layout is a little special because I made it to give to Wendy's daughter Macie! She has a dog named Buddy and I just thought of her!

Here is the layout

I cut the dog from Create a Critter at 3.5 inches and I just did 2 layers

NSBD - Challenge #8

Here is Challenge #8 : Make a Summer project!

Here is a card that I did! I love love love the way this card turned out! It was super fun and super simple.

I used Summer Fun Stampin' Up stamp set and Red Ribbon.
You can come back on Friday for all the details and a fun Stampin up give away!

NSBD - Challenge #7

Challenge #7 - Make a scrapbooking page!
(You can check out the rules and all other the other pages that were entered by going here: My Pink Stamper)

Here is the Layout I made:

It is a 2 sided layout and I really love the way it came out. Its of our family at a harvest party! I didn't have alot of time so I tried to keep it simple.
I used Celebrate with Florish but just used the images as a the first layer.
I love how I used the ribbon at the top and the bottom.
There will be a video on this a little later where I explain some of the other things I did.

National Scrapbooking Day - Challenge #1

Okay so here goes..... here is the first Challenge I did.... I have to say I'm way out of practice its been about 3 months since I've been able to really scrapbooking. All the stuff that I've been doing has just been here and there and I've felt like my creative side has been lacking ALOT.
So I just decided to jump into this, do the challenges I could and see how they turned out!

(Turns out my cameras (both of them) are dead so I'm waiting to upload pictures)

Here is the 1st Challenge: A Cup Cake Project

I did a card, standard A2 size card.
I then used the Lite Cartridge "Cupcake" and cut out Happy at 2 inches. I layered these images and then I used My Pink Stamper Stamps: Family and Friends and stamped birthday at the bottom.

No Calendar todays...

Hey Everyone,

I didn't post a calendar project toay because I'm trying to get all my projects for the NSBD Challenges from My Pink Stamper uploaded today and linked to her page. I did 10 of the 12 Challenges! That is alot.
But my life is just crazy with the kids and I just can't seem to sit down for 5 minutes to do anything on the computer.. so wish me luck on the challenges! I hope all of you were able to do some of the challenges and hang out yesterday. I'm sure it was alot of fun!

Come back by today to check my projects out!

A Blog Award

Happy Thursday Everyone, (Stop by tomorrow for some fun blog candy!!!!!!!!!!!)

This week has just flown by! Maybe it was because my husband was up for a visit this weekend and didn't have to leave until Tuesday! Or maybe its because I've been able to scrapbooking a little week, or maybe its even the weather has been WONDERFUL and we have been out and about more..... I don't know what it is but I'm lovin' it!

I'm so excited we got another blog award! I have to say that I love doing this blog and I'm so thankful to all of you that stop by and hang out with me and take a look at all of our projects.

I really want to Thank Stacy over at Love That Bug ... She is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is always leaving me such sweet comments! I always know she is around to check out what I'm doing! A few weeks back I also added her button to our "Who inspires" side bar! Because she really does!

 So here are the rules:

Wear this badge proudly on your blog and share it with friends. Share this award with 10 people that you think have Cricut-tastic blogs. You also have to tell 5 cricut related things about yourself.

Here are the 5 things about me:
 1. (I'm taking this one from Stacy because Its so true about myself and I think its funny that someone else has this "problem") I constantly re-arrange furniture (to the point to where I almost need help)

 2. I NEED to use my Cricut EVERYDAY! When I can't use my cricut everyday I go through withdraws (I'm sure that is not health ... but its the truth)
 3. I still get a kick out of watching my Cricut Cut, its like I want to still go get my husband and say "Look... see what its doing... Its just amazing... right???"
 4. I really had a dream last night that a friend got me a E2 for no reason at all and I couldn't get over it. (Really that was my whole dream... and I was really sad when I woke and realized it was a dream)
 5. I tell my husband there will never be a day when I have "Enough" Cricut Machines or Cricut Carts, Its an addition and I realize that and I'm VERY OKAY with this!

Now 10 Blogs..... (I'm with Stacy I hate this part, I'm going to give some of these to some of my Website Wednesday Blogs)

 1. Ok Scrappin' Mama
 2. Crafting with Katie
 3. LC Crafts
 4. Scrappin' Delta Diva
 5. Scrapping Mommy
 6. Karen's Cricut Creations
 7. Just Jean
 8. Snappy Scrappy
 9. Crafting with Natasha
10. Hawwii Paper Party

I'm still trying to get to everyone to let them know about their award.... it might take me a few days!
Thanks so much to everyone for hanging out with me today! Stop tomorrow for some Stampin' Up Blog Candy!
